I’m continuing to build relationships with film makers, games producers, production companies and music libraries. Whatever the genre or platform my clients want to convey their story with emotion and authenticity. Music is key to that aim and to that end when composing and scoring I adhere to the following tenets.
The music should;
- support the story and not intrude upon it
- be used where it is dramatically appropriate
- be tonally appropriate to the mood, energy and emotion of the piece
Additionally the music for a given scene should support the perspective of the characters, the situation or even the director and sometimes, of course, music can be used to tell the audience something that the picture does not.
“Steve produced a suite of music for us, which answered the brief perfectly. Underscore, main theme, brand sting and ‘call-to-action’ elements were all required to convey the excitement and dynamism of our launch for a new Innovation Centre. He responded quickly, showing terrific creativity and delivering music of the highest quality. Our client is extremely pleased with the results, as are we. Thank you very much Steve!”
